Not far from the farm house there’s the Monte Rufeno’s excursion pathway, from which is possible to plunge oneself completely to the gorgeous and uncontaminated Monte Rufeno natural reserve landscape.

Through a pleasant walking you can reach the 3rd reserve entrance to follow on the country road and choose between hard footpath or natural footpath.

At a short entrance from the entrance, you can visit,  on reservation, the Felceto farm house, today country traditions home where you can rediscover the taste for beginning century folk wisdom and life.

Inside the natural reserve you can move round only on foot or by bike; here the silence and the nature’s sound characterises every place due to the distance from the built up area or busy streets

In every flat are available detailed information about park activities and footpaths.

At the visitor centre of the natural reserve (Torre Julia de Jacopo at Acquapendente) you can also have information about guided excursions with specialised stuff ( on foot or on horse back).

We suggest you a visit to the two pearls , Trevinano on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, where the healthful air and extreme quiet will give much more taste to the savoury homely Gian Franco’s cooking and Torralfina, small and old village dominated from the old castle which overlooks the monumental Sasseto’s wood, where for several centuries live powerful ilexes and oaks with trunks till 3 mt of circumference. Nearby there’s the Museo del Fiore which offers didactics and recreational activities all the day long. The visit is especially suggested to children, among the various activities here’s a projection room, a didactic laboratory with microscope, binoculars an herbarium and a play room. Outside there’s the Botanic Garden with about 400 kind of plants, representing the native vegetation, it can be visited through a guided path.

Moreover  there’s a flower nature path, composed of 5 numbered stations to recognise plants and animals, natural phenomenon other particular already described into the museum. Here there’s the entrance to the excursion path “La Scialimata”.

Otherwise if you’re keen on mountain biking, at your disposal there’s a trainer from the  S.I.M.B. (Italian school of mountain bike) who could gives you all the information you need  or take you to the numerous ways wich explore the nearby territory inside the reserve or towards the touristic places such us Sovana, Pitigliano, Bolsena, Orvieto.

According to your abilities you can choose among nature, archaeology, history or costumes.

Upon a notice of four days it will be possible to rent good quality bikes and crash helmet for one or more days at a cheap rate.
